  • In this recorded professional learning session, Greta Dromgool shares the mahi from a collaboration between Manaaki Whenua – Landcare Research and Pokapū Akoranga Pūtaiao – The Science Learning Hub.

Our repo (wetlands) are rich in fascinating plants and animals. They are essential ecosystems and have many stories to tell us. Join us as we share our latest range of articles, activities, videos and interactives designed to support you to deepen your understanding, and love, of repo.

The content of this webinar links strongly to the Nature of Science, Living World and the Planet Earth and Beyond strands of the New Zealand Curriculum. However, by using repo as a context for learning educators can include ideas from all strands and show their learners how science and te ao Māori are working together.

Thank you for … all the resources. I look forward to digging into them more and making connections to our local repo.

    Educator

This session will be valuable for both primary and secondary school teachers, as well as kaiako at kura kaupapa as many of the resources are in te reo Māori.

You can download the video and slideshow presentation.

It’s going to be a great tool going forward for our trust in regards to education around repo.
