  • In this activity, students find out more about the scientists featured on our site, with a focus on those involved in medical imaging techniques. They use this information to introduce each scientist to the rest of their class.

    This activity can be adapted to introduce scientists from other science areas.

    The article Working as a scientist provides a very brief overview of dozens of scientists featured on the Hub. Use it to discover some of the reasons people choose a science-related career, and some of things you can do if you are curious to begin a career in science.

    By the end of this activity, students should be able to:

    • demonstrate knowledge of a chosen scientist’s background and work
    • create an introduction for a chosen scientist and present this to their class.
